Amergis Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Truckee, California

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Non-Retail Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in processing medication orders by assembling and preparing medications to be dispensed for inpatient and/or outpatient services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent certification

  • Graduate of accredited Pharmacy Technology Program

  • PTCB or NPTA license preferred or as required by state/contract

  • Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

    Position: Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

    1. Hospital Pharmacy Technician Duties – preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and patient records.

    2. Sterile Compounding, Medications for Cancer Center including hazardous medications

    Schedule: 40 hours a week

    1. 10-hour shifts between 7am – 7pm. Will have a block schedule

    2. Could work an occasional Saturday or Sunday based on the operational need of the department, maybe one weekend a month.

    Start Date: ASAP

    Location: Truckee, CA

    Contract Duration: 13 weeks would be ideal
