We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the following opportunity.
Quality Supervisor
3rd Shift
*Position Summary: *Plans, monitors and oversees quality department processes ensuring a smooth and consistent operation. This includes organization, planning, discipline, training and safety of direct reports.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and direction of quality associates and the inspection of parts to ensure that products are meeting customer specifications.
- Oversee testing and procedures to support part validation efforts.
- Provide ongoing communication with internal and external customers to address and correct quality issues.
- Maintain test equipment to standards.
- Generate test reports from validation testing using statistical process control (SPC) methods when required.
- Use Quality Problem solving tools for root cause analysis and corrective action to include 5P and internal CAR formats.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 2+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing (B.S. or B.A. Degree in technical- related field preferred)
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing/quality.
- Welding, metal forming, and assembly process experience.
- Thoroughly versed in use of array of testing equipment.
- Understanding of IATF16949, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Quality problem solving tools, and APQP.
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.
- Computer knowledge and experience with emphasis on Microsoft Office applications.
Work Environment:
- Office and plant environment.
- May be exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
F&P America Manufacturing offers competitive salaries and overtime, at straight-time, after 50 hours per week. Additional eligible pay includes bonus potential.
