Salary: $50,000 plus Benefits Job Description: The Communication Specialist will work to promote a positive public image of the organization, create content and maintain digital platforms in an effort to communicate information to a variety of audiences. Manages all internal and external communication. Uses strategic communication skills to amplify, promote, and publicize the efforts/work of the organization. Plays integral role in Annual Conference preparation including development of marketing materials & written content, breakout session coordination and event support. It is an in-office position, 37 hours per week. Skills and Qualifications: * A strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, works well under pressure, and can meet tight deadlines * Innovative, organized, and self-motivated * Exceptional writing skills and graphic design capacity * Experienced in marketing and communications * Ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve results * Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication software and tools * Website design and maintenance * Bachelors degree (or equivalent years of experience) required * Ability to utilize Mailchimp and maintain email lists The Communications Specialist is a hands-on communicator with duties to include: * Develop and implement a communication strategy and outreach plans that includes monthly membership newsletter, weekly membership emails, and social media content creation * Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns through content tracking * Maintain and update website
