Production Supervisor -- Injection Molding (3rd Shift)
*Location: *Fraser, MI
Pay: $21.00 -- $23.00 per hour + Weekly Attendance Bonus
Shift: 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM -- 7:30 AM (Must be able to train on 1st shift: 7:00 AM -- 3:00 PM for several weeks)
Job Overview
We are currently hiring a hands-on Production Supervisor with experience in plastic injection molding to lead a 3rd shift team in Fraser, MI.
This role is ideal for someone who can lead a team while also working on the floor, including die setting, machine troubleshooting, and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support 15--20 production employees
- Perform and oversee die/mold changes, setups, and startups
- Troubleshoot injection molding machines, processes, and quality issues
- Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and production efficiency
- Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met
- Train and coach employees on proper machine operation and procedures
- Coordinate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of plastic injection molding experience (REQUIRED)
- Die setting / mold setting experience (REQUIRED)
- Experience with machine troubleshooting and process adjustments
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work 3rd shift and train on 1st shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with injection molding presses
- Knowledge of cycle times, scrap reduction, and process improvement
- Hi-Lo (Forklift) experience or certification
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
