Engineer -- Quality Systems sought by Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Troy, MI
*Position Duties: *Implement automotive quality standards/procedures, tools and methods in business processes and operations, for Engineering projects. Develop and update guidelines, methods and processes, and provide instructions to engineering project teams for proper application. Analyze, file and report on all quality-related information. Maintain documentation needed for certification and carry out Quality Management (QM) reporting for official authorities. Support internal and external inspections and/or audits and provide respective documentation. Collaborate with and provide advice to staff and management in QM-related topics and provide respective trainings. Train the project teams to implement Automotive SPICE in the development projects. Lead the activities related to external and internal audits, including Automotive SPICE work product review, as required by Quality Procedure. Perform Concern Management activities by driving the meetings and guiding project teams members in performing root cause analysis and identifying corrective/preventive actions. Meet local and global key performance indicators (KPIs).
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered, or a related position. Two (2) years of experience must include: Leading Automotive SPICE SUP.1 Quality Assurance or SUP.9 Concern Management processes; Quality management plan development: SYS, SW, E/E, and ME; Performing Delivery check before the delivery of the product/part to customer ensuring quality products are shipped; Conducting audits to ensure compliance with internal processes and automotive standards; Training and assisting project teams to derive solutions to address the findings/gaps; Addressing possible deviations to internal procedures; IATF 16949 and ISO 9001; Preparing engineering projects for ASPICE Level 1 and 2 assessments; Utilizing 8D, 5- Why and Fishbone for problem solving; and PTC Integrity Windchill and SAP. Up to 10% travel to various unanticipated Schaeffler locations and client sites domestic & international. Telecommuting permitted two days per week.
