Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Machinist to maintain production tools and produce repair parts using manual and CNC machines, including lathe, mill, and grinder

• This role supports production through various tasks including tooling and machine maintenance

Job Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, including manual mills, lathes, and grinders, to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling

• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand specifications and desired results

• Maintain communication with job leads or supervisors as required

• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines

• Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce according to specifications

• Set machines for full cycles to fabricate large numbers of parts

• Supervise machines during operation and make necessary adjustments for optimal results

• Assist the Maintenance and Tooling department as needed

• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper housekeeping

• Complete task reporting documentation and distribute as needed

• Manage Work Orders or projects and handle special projects as assigned

• Recommend and implement improvements for tooling and equipment

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in CNC Mill setup and operation

• Ability to read blueprints

• Proficiency in using G&M codes to edit programs at the machine, including tool change, offset, and machine setup

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
