Actalent Client Relationship Consultant in Troy, Michigan
Actalent Services (formerly EASi LLC) is hiring a Client Relationship Consultant with automotive experience for a role offering part-time flexibility (20 hours/week) to support the growth and expansion of Actalent's engineering services across the industry. This individual will partner internally with Actalent's engineering leadership and business development leaders to develop and implement a new engineering sales strategy to target clients aligned to this consultant's previous industry experience. The Client Relationship Consultant will ultimately help accelerate growth by providing industry and client insights while leveraging executive‑level relationships to broker and forge new partnerships. Qualified candidates will posses engineering, sales or executive level experience with a major automotive OEM who is able to bring strong industry credibility, trusted relationships, and a desire to support the growth of both onsite engineering services programs and project outsourcing engagements.
This role offers part-time flexibility (20 hrs/week with flexibility on days/times) for qualified individuals who are local and able to meet in-person with leadership in our Troy delivery center as needed.
Essential Functions
Leverage industry network to broker and serve as industry liaison with Actalent Services leaders to senior leaders across automotive and transportation organizations
Facilitate and broker high‑value executive meetings that lead to qualified sales opportunities and expanded partnerships
Advise Actalent leadership on industry trends, customer priorities, and organizational dynamics within automotive and transportation markets
Partner with Services Sales and Delivery teams to align capabilities, past performance, and solution positioning to client needs
Shape and refine value messaging and industry‑specific differentiators for use in the marketplace
Provide strategic input on service delivery approaches and technical capabilities to support successful project execution
Review and enhance marketing materials and thought‑leadership content in collaboration with the marketing team
Deliver concise activity updates and executive‑level insights through weekly reporting and periodic status presentations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in engineering, business development, or automotive product development industry
Minimum 10 years of experience in executive, director-level or sales leadership roles required
Prior experience working for automotive OEM at executive-level highly desired
Strong communication skills with ability to engage and present to VP‑ and C‑suite stakeholders required
Growth or business development mindset with ability to mine industry network to support client stakeholder roadmap planning
Business and financial savvy, with a solid understanding of how engineering services are sold, scoped, and delivered
Strategic, collaborative, and motivated by helping organizations grow through relationships and execution
Proven experience operating at the intersection of engineering, services, and executive engagement
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Troy Delivery Center and remote) #fte26

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $150.00/hr.
