Our Lead Project Manager is a senior, strategic project manager who will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the business transformation forward. This role is designed for an experienced leader who combines exceptional project execution discipline with strategic thinking, business acumen, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders at all levels.
The temporary project-based role serves as a delivery leader, integrator, and change agent, ensuring that complex, cross-functional initiatives are executed predictably while remaining flexible in the face of shifting priorities, emerging risks, and unplanned disruptions.
The project requires a mindset shift, strong partnerships, and deep collaboration between Value Chains and Centralized Organizations to maximize enterprise value – and this leader will ensure accountability, alignment, and momentum by guiding teams to deliver outcomes that materially advance the business transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Transformation Leadership
Lead large-scale, cross-enterprise initiatives within the project for the existing contingent labor program, translating strategic objectives into executable delivery plans that enable standardization, data integrity, and system modernization.
Partner closely with executive sponsors, Value Chain leaders, and Central Organizations to ensure initiatives align with the Operating Model and maximize enterprise value.
Champion a transformation mindset, fostering collaboration, shared ownership, and disciplined execution across organizational boundaries.
Program and Delivery Excellence
Own and manage integrated, multi-workstream program plans, including milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and success metrics.
Drive end-to-end execution, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, with rigor, and at the quality required for enterprise-wide adoption.
Quickly pivot plans and sequencing to manage evolving priorities, scope changes, and unplanned work without compromising outcomes or governance.
Hold leaders and teams accountable to commitments, timelines, and deliverables while enabling progress and removing obstacles.
Stakeholder Influence and Governance
Act as a trusted advisor and influencer to senior leaders across business, people, technology, and operations.
Facilitate program governance, including executive reviews, decision forums, and steering committee engagement.
Drive clarity in decision-making, escalation, and ownership in a complex, matrixed environment.
Risk, Change and Performance Management
Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and integration points inherent in enterprise transformation efforts.
Apply structured risk mitigation and change management practices to ensure sustainable outcomes and adoption.
Leverage data, dashboards, and analytics to provide transparent insight into progress, gaps, and delivery health.
Technology-Enabled Execution
Use leading project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) to monitor execution, maintain visibility, and drive disciplined follow-through.
Apply technology and data to understand progress, forecast outcomes, and enable fact-based leadership decisions.
Partner with operational and functional leaders to ensure readiness, adoption, and long-term value realization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences:
10+ yrs leading complex, enterprise-scale programs in matrixed orgs
Proven delivery of high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives w/ exec engagement & operational change
Strong exp in enterprise systems, data standardization & HR/workforce apps (SAP, ERP, VMS e.g., Beeline) preferred
Advanced Smartsheet (or equivalent PM tools); Agile and hybrid delivery expertise
Influences w/o authority; strong partnership w/ senior leadership & ops teams
Strategic program leadership – PMP required; Six Sigma/Lean strongly preferred
Risk, dependency and change mgmt; org transformation focus
Data-driven (performance analytics); strong financial and timeline discipline
Strategic, outcome-driven leader w/ strong business and systems thinking
Navigates with ambiguity; drives clarity in complex environments
Influential, collaborative across diverse stakeholders
Highly organized, disciplined and execution-focused without rigidity
Proactive, resilient and decisive under pressure
Team-oriented, accountability-driven; delivers results the right way
Location: Role is hybrid – based in the Houston, TX area, with onsite travel required in Spring, TX
The hourly base pay for this position is $60 – $74. Final compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
