Lockheed Martin Associate Manager Multi-Functional Quality (Weekends) in Troy, Alabama

You will be the Associate Manager Multi-Functional Quality for the JASSM Quality Team. Our team is responsible for delivering world‑class quality leadership for the Joint Air‑to‑Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) business area.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Associate Manager Multi‑Functional Quality you will be responsible for guiding quality engineers and inspectors to achieve mission‑critical standards.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of quality personnel.

  • Allocate resources and set work assignments to maintain an effective business rhythm.

  • Communicate quality requirements and expectations with DCMA and internal stakeholders.

  • Drive risk and opportunity management processes and address adverse trends.

  • Oversee implementation of the quality management system and metrics program.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

-STEM Degree at the Bachelor level or above and/or experience/combined education

-Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance with SAR and must have an interim clearance prior to starting

-Working knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes, and tools

-Experience with AS9100 Quality systems

-Experienced in reading and interpreting drawings and standards

-Experienced in using various inspection measurement tools

-Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Desired Skills:

-Quality Engineering experience in JASSM business area

-Defense contractor or military contractor experience desired

-Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods preferred

-Previous Quality leadership experience in an ordinance manufacturing environment

-Ability to work with and around explosives

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
