Description
We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial accuracy of inventory and finished goods across multiple locations. As a vital member of the team, you will collaborate closely with plant operations and ensure that all accounting processes are streamlined and efficient.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure accurate reporting and valuation.
• Collaborate with plant teams to resolve discrepancies in inventory and accounting processes.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify and address cost fluctuations.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with standard cost accounting principles across all locations.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to prepare accurate financial reports and analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual inventory reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory and cost accounting procedures.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in general ledger accounting and inventory management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
• Solid understanding of standard cost accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to perform variance analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar industry is preferred.
