Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products Trinity is seeking to fill the position of Quality Tech. The Quality Tech is responsible for supporting the Quality Engineer and the efficient operation of the lab to include YTE testing. The Quality Tech will assist with training, instrument calibration, and process improvement. The Quality Tech will work with the Quality Team, Operations, and Maintenance to look for ways to continually improve the safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness of Quality. The successful candidate must possess a high level of dedication to Nucor and must be able to complete the essential functions of the job without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a dedicated quality role (ex. Quality Tech, QC inspector, Quality Engineer, Lab Technician etc.)

  • Working knowledge of QMS systems, inspections, and defect resolution

  • Ability to travel to visit customers on shortnotice.

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety andquality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office

  • Able to work scheduled and unscheduledovertime.

  • Demonstrate ability for continuousimprovement.

  • Ability and willingness to progress to quality engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality in a manufacturing environment

  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Proficiency in material testing

  • Prior history with order inquiries, technical specs, and complaintresolution.

  • CNC Machine experience

  • ISO auditor training

  • PPAP/product trials

  • Six Sigma

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree
