Job Description:
Join Honeywell’s Manufacturing Engineering Team as an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming the building technology ISC operations. As a Process Engineer overseeing manufacturing processes at our Trieste Plant, you will lead initiatives that drive Honeywell's ISC transformation. This role involves the design, deployment, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and tests.
Manufacturing Process:
Enhance the assembly process by analyzing cycle time, takt time, conducting VSM value stream assessments, and balancing processes for optimal performance (Yield, OEE).
Design and evaluate tooling and fixtures to improve production efficiency.
Collaborate extensively with the Manufacturing Department to implement automation projects without disrupting daily factory operations, ensuring that all projects meet established productivity goals.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by contributing to design for manufacturing and automated assembly improvements and evaluations.
Digital Manufacturing / Test / Machine Programming:
Facilitate the implementation of manufacturing systems within the electronics assembly factory, covering aspects from PC board assembly to testing and final assembly.
Aid in the execution of data collection, analysis, and visualization plans for specific applications to drive decision-making.
Collect and analyze process data with the aim of improving efficiency and quality.
Other Responsibilities:
Develop and manage standards to maximize opportunities upon project launch and execution.
Provide support for critical engineering issues in production as required.
Collaborate in the development of technical specifications to support the project scope, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new automated processes.
Technologies:
Knowledge of electronics assembly and test operations, including In-Circuit Test (ICT), Functional Test (FCT), along with management and analysis of resultant data.
Competence in robotics implementation in light assembly operations, such as screw driving and pick-and-place applications.
Skills in operating, programming, maintaining, and repairing automated equipment.
You Must Have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
At least 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar
We Value:
Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing techniques.
Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical applications for data analysis.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD/CAM software for design purposes.
Effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and presentation.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A basic understanding of electro-mechanical systems.
