*Summary: *Assists in the daily animal care responsibilities at Chrisholm MetroPark.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities -- Essential Functions:

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Assists with daily care and health maintenance of animals.

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Performs regular maintenance, cleaning of equipment and facilities related to animal care and demonstration areas.

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Operates licensed and non-licensed motor vehicles and other equipment needed for the care of livestock.

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Applies chemicals according to manufacturer's recommendations and MetroParks policy as assigned.

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Attends staff meetings and training as scheduled.

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Maintains accurate records of tasks performed: including but not limited to time sheets, vehicle mileage, animal use information, etc.

·[        ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Uses proper personal protective equipment, follows safety protocols, and uses tools and equipment appropriately to ensure the safety of themselves and others. Immediately reports safety concerns.
