New Jersey Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Technician in Trenton, New Jersey
DEFINITION: Under direction of a Pathologist, a Physician Director of Pathology, or a New Jersey State Licensed Laboratory Director, (license granted by the Board of Medical Examiners), in a Clinical Laboratory under the jurisdiction of the State of New Jersey or any other facility meeting this requirement and governed by Public Law l975, Chapter 166 of July 23, l975, of the State of New Jersey, performs, interprets, and assumes responsibility for the performance of all or any aspect of the technical work; does related work as required.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Successful completion of a course of study from an accredited school for Clinical Laboratory Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Assistant, or Medical Technician.
Must be certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Assistant, or Medical Technician by and registered with a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
