The Greene Construction Group LLC Framing Carpenter in Traverse City, Michigan

The Framing Carpenters are responsible for performing structural framing tasks as part of a construction team. These roles involve the installation of wood and metal framing components for walls, floors, and roofs in both residential and commercial buildings.

Jobs sites will vary but can expect to be in the general Michigan area of but not limited to:

Traverse City MI, Mayfield MI, Maple City MI, Acme MI.

You will be responsible for covering your accomodation expenses but we will coordinate and organize its availability for you.

Workers will follow detailed blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate and structurally sound frameworks. The positions require both physical labor and the safe use of carpentry tools to assemble the building's structural skeleton. 

Workers do not require prior experience in carpentry or is there a minimum requirement in education, instead were looking for individuals willing and motivated to learn. We are looking for the potential candidates to begin April 1st 2026. the hourly wage will be $26.88 per hour to comply with the minimum prevailing wage requirement and will be made in by weekly payments. If overtime is available, this will too comply with local requiremnets and laws applicable.

In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business and will be compliant with the regulations established by the designated authority.

Inbound Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the period of employment covered by the job order, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the United States or abroad, to the place of employment. Transportation reimbursement will be at least the most economical and reasonable cost of common carrier transportation for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate at least equal to the minimum amount permitted by the U.S. Department of Labor regulations during the travel period.

Outbound Transportation and Subsistence: Upon completion of the work contract period, or if the worker is dismissed early for any reason by the employer, and if the worker has no immediate subsequent H-2B employment, the employer will provide or pay for return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker departed to work for the employer. Transportation reimbursement will be at least the most economical and reasonable cost of common carrier transportation. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate at least equal to the minimum amount permitted by U.S. Department of Labor regulations during the travel period.

The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite. Workers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the worksite.

If transportation between multiple worksites is required during the workday, the employer will provide or pay for such transportation at no cost to the worker.

The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, that were incurred by the worker in connection with obtaining H-2B status. The employer is not required to reimburse passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker.
