FLC Farm Worker in Traverse City, Michigan

REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 3/3/26-12/3/26. Must agree to 35 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

*SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: *No experience required. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling.

 *JOB DUTIES: *Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Worker will manually plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables and flowers. Use hand tools such as shovels, towers, hoes, tampers, pruning tools, shears and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, direct seeding, weeding thinning, or pruning crops. Harvesting, cleaning, grading, sorting, packing and loading harvested products from the field. Will also participate in irrigation activities and greenhouse/high tunnel production. Worker should be able to lift 50lbs. unassisted. The employer will furnish without cost all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. All terms and conditions included in this job order will apply to all workers, domestic and foreign, employed under this job order. Returning employees will earn a wage of $16.15/hour and all new H2A workers will earn $13.73 based on the 2026 State minimum wage of Michigan.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

*WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: *Provided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
