Great Lakes Sailing Company is seeking dependable, detail oriented individuals to join our Marine Cleaning Crew. Our team plays a critical role in preparing our charter sailboats to the highest standards and maintaining a clean, welcoming marina environment.

Position Overview

Marine Cleaning Crew Members are responsible for:

Thoroughly cleaning and preparing charter sailboats interior and exterior Maintaining marina grounds and dock areas Handling linens and laundry Supporting dock operations when boats arrive and depart Ensuring all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and secured Performing detailed closing procedures each shift

This is physical work in a marina setting that requires awareness, organization, and professionalism.

What You Will Be Doing

Boat Cleaning and Turnover Clean cabins, galleys, heads bathrooms, staterooms, and deck areas Disinfect high touch surfaces Wash and organize galley equipment after each charter Inspect and clean lockers, hatches, and storage areas Handle and launder linens properly Vacuum and detail every boat thoroughly with no shortcuts

Dock and Marina Responsibilities Assist with dock lines when boats arrive and depart Keep docks clean, organized, and safe Properly coil and stow hoses and shore power cords Monitor and tidy common areas Walk docks and building perimeter before closing

Professional Conduct Provide excellent customer interaction with charter guests and boaters Stay organized and keep work areas professional Follow marina safety procedures at all times

What We Are Looking For

Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working on boats and around water Physically capable of bending, lifting, and climbing in and out of boats Reliable, punctual, and organized Positive attitude and professional demeanor Willingness to follow detailed cleaning and safety procedures

Close toed, non marking shoes are required.

Experience in marine cleaning, hospitality, or detailing is helpful but not required. We provide training.
