TAI Senior Project Manager in Towson, Maryland

About the Role:

As a Senior Project Manager at TAI, you will serve as the central lead for complex construction projects, driving them from conceptual estimation through to final delivery. This role is built for a strategic leader who thrives on multi-faceted coordination—balancing the management of internal project teams with the cultivation of high-level relationships between architects, design teams, and subcontractors. Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:

  • Performs job in accordance with Company mission, vision, and goal.

  • Oversees and manages all aspects of their assigned projects(s). Ability, at times, to simultaneously manage several projects at one time given the scale and complexity.

  • Manages the project team members, providing guidance and leadership to ensure project remains on schedule and budget.

  • Assists with developing and maintaining project budgets and accounting, project schedules, project related documentation.

  • Develops, maintains, and improves strong relationships with our clients and subcontractors.

  • Assists in the development of estimates, from conceptual through hard bid estimate levels.

  • Collaborates with architects and design team to develop the best overall product for our customers.

  • Collaborates with vendors and subcontractors during bidding, estimating and procurement project phases.

  • Supports, as needed, management in business development, bid management, and other essential operations in the firm.

You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field of study.

  • Minimum of 10 years related experience working for a General Contractor as an on-site Construction Project Manager

  • Experience managing multi-disciplined construction projects within industrial markets (chemical, refining, power generation, food/beverage, life sciences).

  • Prior experience managing construction project teams including superintendents, project managers and engineers, design teams, etc.

  • Experience with project level documentation including subcontracts, submittals, and invoices.

  • Previous experience working with client relationships, particularly in communicating with owners and/or owner’s representatives, subcontractors, and insurance companies.

  • Familiarity with project level documentation, such as AIA contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and invoices.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail.

  • Must possess strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

  • Must be able to perform calculations, to problem solve, and use reasoning.

  • Must be able to effectively manage and direct others.

Computer Skill Required:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Project) and

  • Experience working with a Construction Management platform such as Procore and Foundation.

Physical Demands:

The position requires repetitive motion, such as standing, walking, sitting, and bending. This position could also entail reaching, climbing, crawling, and walking over uneven terrain. Moderate lifting is required, up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $135,000-170,000 per year (based upon experience)

  • Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
