The DuPont Towanda Plant is a highly leveraged film‑coating facility within DuPont’s Diversified Industrials business. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering support for the products and processes on site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the high‑quality, cost‑effective production of coated films and other manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop subject‑matter expertise in assigned products and processes.

  • Lead and support projects aimed at improving yield, quality, production uptime, and cost efficiency.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving process or equipment issues, including those related to customer complaints.

  • Partner with operations teams to address and eliminate recurring production challenges.

  • Recommend and implement equipment upgrades to improve performance, reduce manufacturing costs, and enhance product quality.

  • Identify, propose, and implement uptime improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Process Safety Management (PSM) professionals to strengthen site compliance with safety regulations.

  • Work with area engineers to enhance Technology Packages, including print upgrades, process‑to‑service documentation, and ensuring RAGAGEP compliance.

  • Provide technical input to support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

  • Actively participate on the plant Process Safety Management Committee.

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or relevant science discipline.

  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Proficiency with computer‑based tools and systems.

  • Self‑motivated with the ability to identify issues and lead corrective actions.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in process or product development.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
