We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Emerging Technologies Department. This department works on cutting-edge research involving the innovative design, integration, and implementation of emerging opto-electronics components. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and scientists to develop novel solutions and facilitate the transition of new technologies out of R&D into practical applications.
This is an on-site role located in Torrance, CA.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on engineering work in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions.
Support a multidisciplinary team (mechanical, electronics, software) focused on transitioning new technologies from R&D into production to enhance our military and aerospace product lines.
Perform technical effort estimation and support project timelines in coordination with Project Leads.
Prepare project documentation, including technical reports, ICDs, and test plans (ATP/QTP).
Support milestone review presentations such as SRR, PDR, and CDR.
Collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels and across diverse technical backgrounds.
Monitor daily project operations and overcome obstacles to enhance overall team efficiency.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
2-5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering field
Advanced proficiency in solid modeling using SolidWorks (preferred), Pro-E, or CATIA.
Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS) for structural and thermal simulation.
Demonstrated knowledge of DFM, GD&T, and producing manufacturing drawings for production environments.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain Security Clearance is a plus.

Pay Range:
$100,000-$125,000
However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
