Job Description
Extract and review inquiries from various referral systems (EPIC, Allscripts, fax, etc.)
Approve/ Deny referrals based on facility's admitting criteria timely.
Coordinate with doctors, families, and hospital representatives to attract and admit suitable candidates.
Establish and maintain a constant working relationship with all potential referral sources.
Conduct pre-admission interviews with prospective residents/responsible parties and explain all facility services as needed.
Work with multiple departments (i.e. Nursing, Social Services, Staffing, Housekeeping) to ensure a seamless admission into the facility.
Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations as applicable.
Requirements
Qualifications
Prior Admissions Coordinator experience
LVN license
Experience with PCC
Great communication skills
Detail oriented
Energetic, driven and engaging
Shift:
Full-Time
Monday- Friday
8:30am - 5:00pm
Some weekends maybe required
