Overview

As of December 31, 2023 TDAM and its affiliates manage over CDN$410 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment/foundation and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds, across both active fundamental and quantitative-based solutions, private debts and alternative investments including real estate, infrastructure.
Job Description
A passion or demonstrated interest in markets/economics/current events is critical to success:The Intern will support the team with some or all of the following activities.
Workwith oneof thefollowingteamswithin TDAM-Fundamental Equities Research,Fixed IncomeorAsset Liability Management, AssetAllocation, Alternatives,orInvestment Risk Management.
Build andmaintainanalytics to helpfacilitateportfolio decision making, data analysis or financial analysis to help understand and recommend investments or to better understand the macro-economic environment
Help run and support mission critical reporting used by the portfolio managers and attend andparticipatein team meetings and investment discussions.
Validate data to ensure the integrity of the data and information
Support projects focused on the ongoing improvement of our processes
Undertake projects touching onstrategy, marketing, business and product development, portfolio management, finance, risk, governance, client service,operationsand trading
Requirements:
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task andmaintainattention to detail
Good foundation in businessacumen, capitalmarkets,problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel,PowerPointand Word)
Strong verbal and written presentation skills
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
Highly motivated individual with the willingness and flexibility to takeondifferent initiatives
Ability tooperatewithin specialty software programs (e.g.Bloomberg,Factset, Thomson Reuters or Capital IQ etc.)
Must be able to work effectively in a team environmentand collaborate across teams to research fulsome solutions
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
Good to have:
Microsoft Access,Python/SQL/Coding skills,financial modelling
VBA and SQL
Co-op experience in investment research, real estate, public and private securities analysis,risk management
