Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager, IT Services to manage medium to large-size technology projects and support ongoing maintenance within our IT Services department. The successful candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in a project management role, with end-to-end experience in IT systems delivery, managing cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, QA, infrastructure, etc.)

This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a project management team that is collectively responsible for a portfolio of work in a continuous delivery environment.

  • Prioritize communication with PM teammates as needed to share knowledge, experience, status and resources.

  • Work collaboratively with teams within the agency and the broader Publicis Groupe network to deliver integrated omnichannel programs.

  • Manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

  • Manage medium to large-sized projects for tier 1 clients, from initiation through planning, design, development and maintenance.

  • Proactively monitor work progress to ensure tasks are advancing in a timely manner and obstacles are removed.

  • Proactively anticipate client needs throughout the implementation and maintenance process.

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and partners through day-to-day communication.

  • Create project documentation, including project briefs, timelines, status reports and estimates.

  • Work with the rest of the PM team to identify resource conflicts and gaps, and resolve them in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

  • Monitor and reconcile actual vs. estimated time spent on projects for maximum accuracy and hour recovery.

  • Report weekly on budget status.

  • Manage project scope and enforce change control processes.

  • Proactively assess, manage and communicate risk.

  • Mentor junior members of the project management team.

Role Specific Competencies

  • Proven experience delivering a wide range of IT initiatives, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure, applications, systems integration, and enterprise platforms. Exposure to innovation or pilot projects is also valued.

  • Demonstrated success delivering projects within a large, enterprise IT environment, including cross‑functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear, business‑friendly language.

  • Solid understanding of project management practices, including scope definition, change control, risk management, budget tracking, and timeline management.

  • Working knowledge of IT project, task, and knowledge management tools (such as MS Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA, ServiceNow, or Confluence).

  • Strong interest in digital transformation and continuous improvement, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve IT services, processes, and user experience.

  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams (infrastructure, security, applications, vendors) while keeping business outcomes and service reliability in focus.

  • Understanding of IT service delivery concepts, including incident, problem, and change management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum)

  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms or systems such identity management, cloud services (Azure/AWS), or service management tools.

  • Background in IT operations, infrastructure, application support, or systems administration.

  • Exposure to IT governance, security, compliance, or data privacy practices.

  • Knowledge of modern IT tools and technologies, including cloud platforms, automation tools, monitoring solutions, and testing or quality assurance tools.

  • Experience working closely with vendors or managed service providers.

Additional information

Location & Eligibility: Candidates must be based in the Greater Toronto Area with valid Canadian work authorization of at least 12 months.

Hybrid Work: This role is mostly remote and suitable for candidates within the GTA area, with a presence of once a month at our Toronto office (111 Queen St. E, Suite 200, Toronto, ON M5C 1S2).

Time Off:

  • 2 weeks vacation, with additional paid closure between Christmas and New Year's

  • Extended long weekends for provincial holidays — we give you both the Monday and Friday so you get a full 4-day break

  • 6 sick days and 2 personal days per year

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000–$120,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and relevant certifications. We believe in pay transparency and are committed to offering competitive, market-aligned compensation.
