Overview
The Senior Data Analyst will be the expert on the performance, health, and optimization of our client’s web properties. They are responsible for aggregating, analyzing and providing insights that help monitor, optimize and deliver data driven recommendations to our clients on a regular and ad-hoc basis. They will ensure all analytics are implemented with best practices in mind and are maintained at the highest standard. They will work towards proactively identifying solutions to issues, risks, and opportunities that drive the business forward using data.
Responsibilities
Maintain deep hands-on expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), using digital analytics data to surface insights across the consumer journey
Create & implement detailed web tracking & tagging plans, working closely with development teams to design custom tracking solutions, data layer elements, and integrations
Debug, validate, and QA tracking implementations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and long-term stability across releases
Create client-ready reports, presentations and dashboards that translate data into strategic recommendations
Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams (dev, product, UX, strategy, etc.) to understand business problems & align analytics support
Translate business & product questions into clear data requirements, identifying the most relevant data to analyze, synthesizing findings, and distilling insights to improve understanding of the user journey
Serve as a mentor and resource for junior team members, offering guidance and support
Contribute to the development of KPIs and robust measurement frameworks, aligning them with business objectives to ensure accurate tracking.
Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities that deepen understanding of user behavior and journeys
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on web analytics experience using Google Analytics 4
2+ years experience using Google Tag Manager to build and maintain custom website tracking solutions
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript
Able to confidently design dashboards in Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable presenting and participating in group discussions involving both internal stakeholders and clients
Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, user journeys, and digital experience optimization
Experience using SQL and the GA4 with BigQuery is a big plus

Additional information
Salary
Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is CAD $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
