Job Summary

TYLin is seeking a motivated and skilled Intermediate Project Manager to join our Rail & Transit team. This role is ideal for professionals with 5–10 years of experience who are ready to take the next step in their project management career. You will support and lead components of complex transportation projects across all phases, from planning and design to procurement and construction, while working closely with senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do:

  • Support and manage rail and transit projects, including commuter rail, LRT, subway, and BRT systems, as well as related infrastructure such as stations and maintenance facilities.

  • Act as a key liaison with clients, contractors, and stakeholders (e.g., Metrolinx, TTC, CN), ensuring effective communication and relationship management.

  • Assist in pursuits and delivery of selected projects, including proposals, project work plans, cost estimates and schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals.

  • Coordinate and review technical deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards.

  • Contribute to risk management planning and mitigation strategies.

  • Support commercial aspects of projects, including procurement, invoicing, and budget tracking.

  • Promote and uphold health and safety standards across all project activities.

  • Prepare and deliver project updates and reports to internal teams and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Rail Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in project management within the transportation sector, ideally with exposure to rail and transit systems.

  • Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

  • PMP certification is an asset.

  • Familiarity with alternative delivery models (e.g., P3, Progressive Design-Build, Alliance) is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AREMA, Transport Canada, Ontario Construction Act).

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

  • Valid G driver’s license.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $100,000 - $130,000 annually for this position and local market.
