Job description

Reporting to the Operations VP, the Production Program Director is the direct manager of the Site PPMs. In charge of TOR local Prog (Bombardier, Spares and Military including MV75), the site PPD is also the site Process owner for the PPM function & acts as the site representative within the global PPM community. The site PPD acts as a level of escalation to the site PPMs and is part of the management team of TOR Operations.

The Production Program Director is the direct manager of the PPMs (Local Programs) responsible to:

  • Empower the PPMs and promote the PPM function on the site.

  • Coach, mentor, prioritize & challenge the PPMs in their role (Ensures Spare part are taken into consideration) ;

  • Manage the team and its administration (GPEC / Resource planning / Training etc…)

She/He is responsible for the continuous improvement of the structural Industrial performance (delivery, quality) for the Programs (but not responsible or accountable for the Execution activities (Day to day activities)). To achieve this, the Production Program Director is responsible to

  • Collect, consolidate & assess the global risks and develop & evaluate risk mitigation plans,

  • Manage and update monthly OvRMs with during transfers

  • In case on non-performance, ensure the action plan consistency and robustness

  • Participate to setting Manufacturing plans & Assembly plans and verify these are in line with the rules defined (Buffer Stock, Buffer Time, Production Plan buffer target)

  • Propose evolutions to the Industrial Scheme based on the existing performance & future risks;

  • Coordinating with Program, propose protection plans to High & Low scenarios & associated Customer Logistics Conditions.

  • Lead WHAT-IF scenario assessments

The Production Program Director is the site Process owner for the PPM function & acts as the site Ops representative within the global PPM community

  • Focal point for audits (Internal or external) where PPM Procedures, Processes & organization are to be presented

-Ensures Standards, Industrial Policy, Industrial Committee decisions, ESR & ISR actions and decisions, RED / BLACK etc… are shared and applied within the site PPM team

  • Organizes and sponsors local monthly PPRMs for all Programs.

  • For Local Programs, acts in the MTP construction and consolidation by framing the budgets & defining the vision of the Industrial Scheme evolution and risks to take into account

The Production Program Director acts as a level of escalation to the site PPMs:

  • Coordinates Escalation processes for the Local Programs and coordinates recovery plans under escalation

  • Communicates, facilitates discussions & decisions with other functions when needed
