Who we're looking for:
The role of the Manager, Smart Home and Security reports to the Sr. Director, Self Protect and SHM within the Connected Living Product Management team. We’re looking for someone who is self-starting, an innovative thinker and isn’t afraid to challenge the norm, has a keen interest and strength in understanding the consumer and delivering best in class experiences.
This role will entail driving go to market of new products, engaging channels to drive results and optimizing revenue and performance of our Smart Home base. This is a critical role with responsibilities ranging from operational execution, delivering quarterly objectives, influencing and presenting to senior leaders. The role will also develop targeted programs to achieve company objectives, and drive growth of the overall Wireline business.
What will you be doing:
Engage directly with channels and marketing partners to drive Smart Home growth and awareness
Work with other cross-functional primes/counterparts in all areas of the organization to ensure alignment on plans
Work with product and technical teams to understand new product value props and how best to bring these products to market
Work with and incorporate the input of channels, client experience, loyalty and other stakeholder teams to identify and evaluate new strategies
Lead and coordinate projects/initiatives to conceptualize, plan, develop and implement strategies, programs and performance management frameworks
Lead the product marketing initiatives involving decisions on things like packaging, naming, pricing, positioning, value prop, campaigns, etc.
What you bring:
Must have 3 – 5 years of experience in telecom or relevant industry, preferably cable
Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or other relevant area
Experience with channel management and go to market
A passion for data, analytics and fact-based story telling
Ability to make business recommendations that will drive the development of products and services to meet consumer needs, as
well as profitability targets
Self-starter with proven ability to take complete “closed-loop” ownership & accountability of projects, demonstrating flexible thinking
Effective planning and monitoring skills required for execution and follow-up on programs in a multi-tasking environment.
Superior written & verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels across the organization.
Manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously, with a focus on quality and detail
Solid relationship building and influencing skills with a proven ability to work within a team environment
