Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to support a distributed, high‑volume transaction processing platform within Global Payments Technology function. This role is not traditional DevOps. The focus is on operating, scaling, and stabilizing Camunda 8-based workflow platforms used for headless, automated payment processing. The ideal candidate has strong experience with distributed systems, transaction processing environments, and Camunda 8 (Zeebe) running in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the DevOps and operational support of a Camunda 8–based transaction processing platform

• Deploy, operate, and scale Camunda 8 and Zeebe in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments

• Support headless, event‑driven workflows with minimal human intervention

• Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance of distributed payment workflows

• Troubleshoot and optimize transaction throughput, latency, and failure handling

• Partner closely with application teams building services on Camunda 8

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code for runtime environments

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices for stateful distributed systems

• Apply DevOps and SRE practices specifically for transaction processing platforms

Skills and Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering roles in payments or financial services technology environments

   - Strong experience supporting distributed systems in transaction processing or payments environments

   - Hands-on Camunda 8 experience operating in production & Zeebe experience is strongly preferred

   - Advanced experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift in production

   - Deep experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and GitOpsDevOps experience closely tied to infrastructure and runtime operations

   - Experience integrating AI-driven automation into workflows or DevOps processes

   - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or similar)

   - Linux and cloud infrastructure experience - Experience with MLOps or ML pipeline automation

• Experience supporting application teams building on workflow engines

• Certifications (CKA/CKAD, OpenShift, cloud certifications)
