Major Responsibilities:
Picks up, clears and/or disposes of litter on an assigned route/area including but not limited to street, parks, and alleyways, including loose garbage.
Removal of illegal notices, signs and posters.
Assists with maintaining parks, flower beds and shrubs utilizing appropriate tools.
Assists with setting up recreational equipment, such as chairs, benches, soccer/football posts.
Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Must be registered, and maintain registration, as a full-time student at a recognized and accredited post-secondary educational institution. (Written documentation will be required)
Your application must also demonstrate that you have the following skills:
Physically capable of performing required duties.
Able to work outside and in all weather conditions.
Capable of understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and training.
Deal courteously with the public and exercise good customer service skills.
Able to do shift work as required (afternoons and weekends), in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
