Overview

As an Account Director at Spark Foundry , you will own the client relationship. You will provide strategic leadership and guidance of the media team in terms of conception and delivering innovation, bringing human outcomes to your client’s business. You will also guide, mentor and contribute to the overall growth and career path of the team.

You will be responsible for developing and selling through Spark Foundry and Publicis Media solutions to your roster of clients

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the client relationship

• Actively listens to clients and continually identifies opportunities that makes Spark

indispensable to clients, while bringing the Human Experience to the forefront

• Develop and sell through Spark and Publicis Media solutions to your roster of clients

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client business from current and historical

perspectives

• Co-ordinate and ensure the quality of work for all client deliverables

• Effectively negotiates annual retainer fee with client to ensure agency is making a fair

profit

• Coach, develop and mentor junior team members

• Ensures current staff is fully utilized and operating effectively to meet client needs within

budget

• Participates in the overall management of the company, new business and offering

support to business issues and supporting senior management decisions

• Provides thought leadership to colleagues, clients and projects

• Manages client contribution to vendor commitments

• Take a lead role in recruitment of new staff and make hiring recommendations for team

• Ensure client financials are accurate and delivered on deadline

• Ensure accurate client forecasts for internal agency usage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

• 10+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying and

management

• Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of success in the media services

profession

• Able to establish and manage to P&L statement

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Strong negotiating skills

• Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities

• Strong analytical abilities

• Strong command of media research and reporting resources

Additional information

Salary

Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is $100-$105,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
