What you'll be doing
Resilience and Fusion is a critical team within CIBC’s Chief Security Office, responsible for safeguarding the organization’s assets through an integrated, global approach to threat and risk management. The team fosters collaboration across people, processes, technology, and data to provide a comprehensive view of the risk landscape and support informed decision-making. Fusion Continuity, Crisis, and Regulatory Reporting (FCCRR) enhances business readiness, protects against business interruption risks, and strengthens regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Senior Director, FCCRR, the Director BCM Operations leads the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of CIBC’s Business Continuity Management operations and testing programs. This role oversees governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance across all business units, and manages the enterprise-wide BCM testing strategy.

How You’ll Succeed
BCM Testing Program Leadership - Lead the enterprise-wide BCM testing program, developing and executing a multi-year strategy that includes scenario design, contingency and recovery plan testing, and exercises such as tabletop, alternate strategy, call tree, mass notification, and integrated operational resilience. Ensure all testing meets program standards for documentation, participation, and timely remediation of issues.
Team Management and Stakeholder Engagement - Manage and coach the Senior Manager, BCM Operations, ensuring clear accountability for program activities and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment that supports professional growth and high performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, senior executives, regulators, and external partners to ensure effective program delivery and continuous improvement.
Policy, Quality Assurance, and Operational Oversight - Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of BCM policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Lead quality assurance reviews of BCM artifacts for accuracy and compliance, and provides oversight of the Toronto Business Recovery Centre (TBRC) to ensure subscriber needs are met.
Performance Monitoring, Continuous Improvement, and Compliance- Monitor and report on key risk and performance indicators, oversees the timely remediation of action items, and provides regular updates to senior management and oversight committees. Champion continuous improvement and operational resilience by implementing enhancements to BCM practices and tools, promoting awareness and training initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies and standards.
