Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Digital Product Owner for a Big 5 banking client. This role focuses on executing and delivering on an established roadmap for a digital business banking product, ensuring successful partner and technology integration with the platform. This role will be 20% strategic roadmap development and requirement gathering, and 80% agile delivery. You will lead agile teams through the development lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of high-value features.

Key Responsibilities

 • Roadmap Execution: Drive delivery of features and enhancements according to the established roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide updates on delivery progress.

 • Product Backlog Ownership: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the development team focuses on the most impactful items.

 • User Story Development: Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria for clarity and completeness.

 • Agile Ceremony Leadership: Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to guide the team and remove impediments.

 • Quality Assurance: Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and approve deliverables that meet quality standards.

 • Performance Monitoring: Track sprint progress and delivery metrics, reporting on outcomes and identifying improvement opportunities.

 • Continuous Feedback Loop: Collect input from users and stakeholders to inform backlog refinement and future iterations.

 • Risk Mitigation: Identify delivery risks early and implement solutions to keep development on track.

 • Team Support: Provide leadership and support to the development team, fostering collaboration and resolving blockers.

Skills and Requirements

Experience & Background

 • 2+ years of experience in digital product management or product ownership

 • Previous Business Analyst (BA) experience

 • Proven track record of delivering value with small, cross‑functional teams

Agile Delivery

 • Experience leading an agile team & strong understanding of agile methodologies

 • Ability to write clear, structured user stories in an agile environment

 • Confluence and JIRA

Technical Understanding

 • Understanding of technical requirements for digital products

 • Ability to translate technical language into clear business language (and vice versa)

 • Understanding of systems architecture

 • Strong understanding of API calls and databases

Mindset & Soft Skills

 • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership of product outcomes

 • Strong stakeholder management skills • Experience within financial institutions/banks

 • Business banking experience

Personal or business banking credit card experience
