WSP is delivering some of the country’s most complex rail, transit, and underground infrastructure projects, transforming how communities move and connect. As a Civil Project Engineer/ Senior Design Coordinator, Rail & Transit, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of station infrastructure, structural works, utilities, and site development within multidisciplinary project teams based in Toronto.

Our Rail & Transit team is recognized for excellence, having received multiple industry awards for innovation, sustainability, and project delivery on major transit programs across Canada.

Your Impact

You will contribute to projects that move millions of people safely and sustainably by:

  • Supporting civil design development for rail stations, facilities, and associated infrastructure

  • Coordinating site works, utilities, roads, and station interfaces across multiple disciplines

  • Collaborating closely with architectural, mechanical, electrical, systems, and construction teams to ensure integrated design solutions

  • Assisting with requirements verification, design reviews, and technical documentation

  • Providing construction‑phase support, including site inspections, review of shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals

  • Contributing to testing, commissioning, and O&M readiness activities to support successful project handover

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Experience supporting rail, transit, underground, or large infrastructure projects, including stations or linear works

  • Working knowledge of civil design codes, standards, and industry practices

  • Exposure to design coordination, multidisciplinary interfaces, and construction support activities

  • Ability to manage technical information, priorities, and deadlines within complex project environments

  • Experience with transit authorities or major infrastructure owners is considered an asset

  • Experience with municipal design, including land development is considered an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,800 – $130,800

MB & ON: $90,100 – $124,100

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $89,200 – $118,500
