Cognizant Azure Business Systems Analyst in Toronto, Ontario
About the role:
As an Azure Business Systems Analyst , you will make an impact by translating complex business and fraud‑risk requirements into scalable, data‑driven technology solutions on Azure. You will be a valued member of a global fraud technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to enable high‑quality delivery of fraud mitigation initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business analysis, data, and cloud platforms, and who enjoys owning requirements end‑to‑end in large, complex environments.
In this role, you will:
Lead end‑to‑end requirements delivery by articulating business problems, objectives, and success criteria aligned to fraud mitigation strategies
Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non‑functional requirements, including user stories and detailed technical specifications.
Partner with architects and engineering teams to support solution design across Azure‑based data platforms
Analyze and profile large datasets using tools such as SQL, Jupyter notebooks, or similar to uncover insights and identify data gaps.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (business, PMO, development, QA) to ensure smooth, on‑time delivery.
Own requirements management throughout the project lifecycle, including change requests, impact analysis, and cost/timeline forecasting
Proactively identify risks or design issues that could impact delivery or business benefits, and support stakeholders in mitigation planning
Support operational readiness, implementation, and post‑implementation activities as defined in project plans
Ensure adherence to enterprise project governance, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Toronto, Ontario.

What you need to have to be considered:
Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, information systems, or finance-related discipline
8–10 years of progressive experience in business analysis or business systems analysis roles
Strong experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management in complex delivery environments
Hands‑on data analysis experience using SQL and exposure to data profiling and validation techniques
Working knowledge of cloud and data platforms (Azure preferred), including data ware
Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $ 120,000 - $ 140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
