Overview
As an Assistant Planner at Starcom, you will be an important member of a broader Strategy team
which pursues and activates against meaningful human insights with the goal of driving
measurable results. Strategy Assistants receive in-depth training and continue their professional
development by gaining experience and skills via on-the job experience.

Responsibilities
Assist the Planners and Supervisors in managing and executing approved plans across allmedia
Assist in the development and organization of supportive data and media research forplans and recommendations
Gain an understanding of client and competitive business
Learn about Starcom proprietary tools, industry tools and platforms – develop a strongworking knowledge on what they are and how to use them
Manage contracts/ insertion orders and any resulting revisions with media vendorsthrough our campaign stewardship platforms: DDS/Prisma
Responsible for addressing discrepant media invoices
Assist with billing process
Responsible for updating blocking charts, budgets, and budget summaries
Update competitive media reports and technical support for presentation materia
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; degree or concentration in advertising, marketing, businessadministration, and communications preferred
Track record of success throughout post-secondary career and previous employment
Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
Solid verbal and written communication skills. An ability to tell a story
Technical proficiency, particularly with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Able to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tightdeadlines under pressure
Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate work product
Additional information
Salary
Transparency matters to us. The salary for this position is $40k per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
