OVERVIEW The Delivery-Installer is responsible for ensuring the successful installation of commercial kitchen equipment and exceptional delivery service to our customers. While performing the duties of this role, the Delivery-Installer must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Driving an automatic 26 ft. box truck (non CDL), DOT required * Preparation and assembly of equipment for delivery * Delivering and setting up commercial kitchen and bar equipment * Loading and unloading equipment and tools properly for delivery and work in the field * Troubleshooting delivery/installation issues * Small package delivery * Operating a forklift (Certification Required) will certify if needed * Maintaining a neat and organized work area * Ensure adherence to all safety regulations on job sites, while driving company vehicles and in Singer|Kittredge warehouses * Attending required safety trainings * Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct during work hours
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * High School Diploma or Equivalent * OSHA 10-hour construction certification a plus (Company paid if certification isnt current) * Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial distribution a plus * Experience in Foodservice related industry a plus * Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and a collaborative work style * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail with minimal supervision * Self-motivated * Customer oriented * Experience with driving straight trucks a plus * Valid drivers license * Clean driving record * Mechanically inclined * Proficiency in reading layout drawings a plus * Proficiency in use of hand and power tools * Able to operate powered material handling equipment * Ability to lift 75+ pounds and carry 50+ pounds
Primary work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. The position may require overtime hours, overnight stays, out of town travel and weekend work as needed
