Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Tonawanda, New York. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a vital part in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and maintaining excellent communication with clients. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for a portfolio of 40-50 clients.
• Process 20-50 invoices daily with precision and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address financial inquiries and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to compile and organize financial data.
• Learn and use proprietary software for financial tasks, following comprehensive training.
• Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Assist in billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals.
• Adapt to the dynamic demands of a fast-paced work environment. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong skills in invoice processing and billing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with account reconciliation is a plus.
