As a Direct Support Professional, you will work with other professionals assisting adults with autism in a day program setting. Our Direct Support Professionals empower the individuals we support to learn new skills, make connections in the community, and achieve their life goals.DSP Job Duties Include:Supporting individuals in their individual daily life activities, including community outings/recreation events, cooking, cleaning, personal care, skill development, etc.Transporting individuals to their homes, activities, and appointments.Administering and supervising medication.Completing proper documentation.Ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.FULL-TIME Hours:Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pmWe currently have openings for full-time staff in the following New Jersey locations:oFreeholdoToms RiveroMahwahJob Qualifications:Must be 20 years or olderHave a minimum High School Diploma/GEDHave a current non-provisional NJ Driver's License valid in the state of New Jersey Be able to attend new hire orientation and training at our Morganville Office.Ability to pass a criminal background check & drug screeningBe comfortable with hands-on hygiene care.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong positive interpersonal skills are required.Rate: Starting Pay $19.00 per hourNew Horizons in Autism provides specialized, paid training for all employees to ensure that each team member has the tools needed to perform responsibilities.
