21 Plus is looking for an Assistant Program Administrator (APA) to assist the Program Administrator(PA) with the overall function of the Group Homes. The APA hares responsibility for and assists the PA with the overall operation and quality of the group home program. The Assistant Program Administrator shares responsibility for providing care; supervision, training and opportunities for growth to individuals at the group home; and supervising, training and assisting other group home staff along with or in the absence of the Program Administrator. The APA works cooperatively with PA to uphold agency mission, policy and licensing regulations.Location: Group Homes, Ocean and Camden County Salary Range: $21.55-$22.77/Hourly Benefits: 21 Plus offers medical, dental, vision, as well as life insurance benefits. We offer the opportunity to enroll in the 403(b), voluntary Aflac policies, sick time, and paid time off.Job Responsibilities: • Shares responsibility for the efficient operation and quality of the group home for its residents by working cooperatively with the Program Administrator to maintain a positive environment in the residential program. • Maximizing opportunities for community inclusion and assisting in the development of community resources that meet the needs, interest and abilities of individuals. • While promoting independence provides required level of assistance in completing household responsibilities including but not limited to meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, etc. • Maintaining records and following guidelines according to 21 Plus, Inc. Operational and Personnel policies and procedures, Division of Developmental Disabilities, Office of Licensing standards, Department of Labor and other regulatory authorities. • Supervising group home assistants in conjunction with the Program Administrator. • Monitors, budgets and submits all finance for the program as required. Such as Food and Gas, Petty Cash and Personal Needs Account spreadsheets as well as monitoring online banking. • Attending and participating in monthly supervisory and staff meetings as well as other meetings as directed. • Upholds agency and licensing regulations by cooperating fully with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation. • You must be able to pass all background checks including: Drug screen, physical, PPD, fingerprints, DMV.Qualifications: • Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid NJ Driver’s License with an acceptable record of safe driving • High School Diploma / GED (verifiable) • Minimum of 1 year experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities • Must have good verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient computer skills. • Comfortable with assisting individuals with hygiene and medical routines. • Able to lawfully and safely drive an agency vehicle in all traffic situations and weather conditions. • Exhibits ability to think quickly and act calmly in emergency. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Must be able to successfully complete all required trainings in the required time allotted.
