The Final Assembly Inspector is responsible for ASME Pressure Vessels, ASME Pressure Piping and D1.1 Structural Steel skid inspections on the shop floor using approved drawings, and generation/certification of inspection and test documents as required.
Job Responsibilities
Read and interpret vessel drawings, isometric drawings, and structural steel drawings fluently.
Knowledge of industry standards and practices
Read and interpret P&ID and General Arrangement Drawings fluently.
Perform final inspections of mechanical assemblies per the latest P&ID Spool and General Arrangement Drawings
using the Inspection and Test Plan and P & ID BOM
Verify Customer Connections dimensions meet General Arrangement Drawings.
Coordinates final inspections with customer inspectors where required.
Witness the low-pressure pneumatic testing of the final assembly skid piping
Release to ship of finished product when acceptable and meet drawings and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
requirements.
Process acceptable inspection and test documentation through the QA department.
Capture all in-process changes and maintain all red line drawings.
Follow PSI/Customer approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
Report and isolate (tag) non-conforming items.
Resolution of corrective actions on nonconforming product and release of acceptable product back to production
Able to read and interpret written information with attention to detail
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional purchasing and supply management experience
Minimum 5 years of ASME B31 and Pressure Vessel experience.
Minimum 5 years of welding experience
Knowledgeable of NDT testing and requirements
SAP knowledge
Communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet research.
Ability to motivate and influence people
Organizing, planning, and problem-solving skills
Team player, good statistical and numerical ability and detail-oriented

The main responsibilities are to perform receiving inspection according to the requirements of PSI purchase order (vessel heads and shells) and the certified for construction Material Requirement Certificate material requirements. They are also required to review and approve all required documentation.
Verify Material Test Reports in accordance with ASME codes and standards
Customer specifications requirements (AML / COO)
