Job Description:
The Sanitor will be responsible for safely operating and cleaning equipment as assigned and of handling chemicals to sanitize production equipment and clean the production area, while following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). A Sanitation Technician may be required to perform minor disassembly and assembly of equipment in order to facilitate the cleaning process. Essential functions include ensuring plant sanitary conditions according to established food safety and quality standards. When any deficiency in requirements occur, it is the responsibility of the Sanitation Technician to take appropriate action and inform the appropriate personnel.
This position starts at \$18.25/hr plus a \$2/hr shift differential.
\ \ Responsibilities\ \
- Disassemble, clean and sanitize production machinery, equipment, tables, bins, pans, utensils and any other items utilized within the production process, using a variety of equipment, including high pressure water hoses.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all floors, walls, ceilings, structures, drains, vents, evaporators, light fixtures, etc. within production and support areas.
- Ensure proper care of equipment during the cleaning process, including:
{=html} <!-- --> - - Covering control boxes and critical components to prevent water infiltration. - Safe and non-destructive transportation and storage of equipment and components.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Chemical Safety - Lockout/Tagout - Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) - Reporting any unsafe conditions - Immediately reporting any near miss, injury, or accident to Team Leader or Manager
