Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team on 1st shift. This position reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and plays a key role in keeping our manufacturing process on track. Day-to-day, you'll be operating CMM and NDT equipment, inspecting welds under a microscope, using calipers and other precision tools, and performing visual inspections before and after E-coat. You'll work closely with both production and engineering to make sure parts meet spec and any issues get flagged and addressed quickly.
Key Responsibilities
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}CMM Operation & Programming: Set up, calibrate, and operate CMM equipment (Faro). Develop or modify CMM programs using 3D CAD models and 2D blueprints to certify in-process production.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}NDT Operation & Programming: Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment as needed to certify in-process production.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Dimensional Inspection: Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs and hand tools including micrometers and calipers.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Weld & Visual Inspection: Inspect welds with a microscope and perform visual inspections of parts before and after E-coat using weld maps.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}GD&T Analysis: Interpret complex technical drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts conform to design intent.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Data Reporting: Generate detailed inspection reports, document non-conformances (NCRs), and communicate findings to production and engineering teams.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Root Cause Analysis: Help troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support corrective actions (CAPA) with accurate measurement data.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Documentation: Complete and submit required quality documentation accurately and on time.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Other Duties: Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
