Production Operator
Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $20 -- $21 per hour
Additional Hours: Overtime and weekend availability required as needed
Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient manufacturing processes, product quality, and workplace safety. Tasks can range from simple assembly work (nuts, bolts, etc), loading/unloading parts to jig, up to robot operation.
Key Responsibilities
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Start Up Checks: All start up check sheets need to be understood and completed daily (robots, chillers, cranes, etc).
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Assembly & Fabrication: Use hand tools, power tools, or specialized equipment to join components according to technical drawings or SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Machine Operation & Setup: Prepare cell by loading raw materials and ensuring all safety guards are in place. Watch for machine malfunctions or deviations in product quality and perform basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Meet production quotas and cycle times.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Quality Assurance: Each process should be checked for visual defects (cracks, surface imperfections, etc), quantities (number of welds, bolts, nuts, etc). All procedures/documentations to be followed for proper traceability.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Space Optimization: Maintain the Work Area using 5S principles. All tools need to be put away at the end of the day.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Other Duties: Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}High School Diploma or GED required
Experience & Technical Skills
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Experience as a machine operator preferred.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Attention to Detail: High. Must be able to identify abnormalities through following standard operating procedures and checks.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and standard operating procedures.
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Organization: Strong 5S mindset -- maintaining a clean, lean, and organized work environment.
