Manulife Strategy Director 戦略ディレクター in Tokyo, Japan
Role Summary:
Strategy Director is expected to lead strategic portfolio management to maximize business value and drive transformation involving broad stakeholders.
Job Descriptions:
Under the slogan of “Change to Win”, Manulife Japan is driving strategic transformation to be a truly customer-centric company, adapting to dynamically changing market in an agile manner. Strategy team is responsible for followings with a small but diverse group of people under CEO directly. We are looking for a new member who brings fresh ideas and leads transformation together. He or she will be a leading role in developing the strategic project portfolio and (re)prioritizing projects to meet dynamically changing business environment.
Strategy building : Develop and review mid-/long-term strategy at corporate level, based on analysis on market and competitive landscape, customer expectations and technological changes
Execution of strategic initiatives : Design strategic initiatives in cross-functional natures and lead execution involving relevant stakeholders (e.g., strategic partnership, innovation in customer experience, organizational reform)
Strategic portfolio : Lead a process of (re)prioritization discussions on strategic projects and propose a project portfolio to the senior management and other functions
KPI monitoring : Monitor strategically important KPIs and progress of strategic initiatives to report the senior management, the regional and group offices, and to adjust short-term actions for course correction where necessary
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic / corporate planning and/or project portfolio management roles in insurance industry.
Management consulting experience is preferable but not mandatory.
Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance business (marketing, distribution, operations, product development etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
Proven ability to manage broader stakeholders across different organizations.
Business level Japanese and English in writing and speaking (must-have)

Salary:
Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.
Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.
Working Hours:
Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
