Your role and responsibilities
As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for selling IBM offerings directly to customers. You will maintain in-depth skills in specialty offerings and be assigned to opportunities or territories where you possess the sales and technical expertise required. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to close deals and win customer satisfaction with IBM offerings, leveraging your technical expertise and sales acumen to navigate all phases of the sales cycle. • Maintain Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with in-depth knowledge of specialty offerings, ensuring you possess the necessary skills to effectively sell and deliver solutions to customers. • Conduct Sales Cycle Activities: Engage with customers, conduct needs assessments, and provide solutions that meet their needs, ultimately driving sales growth and customer satisfaction. • Win Customer Satisfaction: Foster strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with the engagement and offerings, and identifying opportunities for future sales and growth.
Required technical and professional expertise
• Deep Expertise in Sales: Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, leveraging technical expertise and sales acumen to drive sales growth and win customer satisfaction. • Technical Knowledge of Specialty Offerings: In-depth understanding of hardware, software, services, and industry solutions, with the ability to effectively sell and deliver solutions to customers. • Experience with Sales Cycle Management: Skilled in conducting all phases of the sales cycle, including needs assessments, solution development, and deal closure. • Industry and Customer Acumen: Strong understanding of customer needs and industry trends, with the ability to identify opportunities for sales growth and customer satisfaction. • Strategic Sales Planning: Ability to design and implement sales strategies that drive business results and align with customer needs.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Advanced Sales Strategies: Deep expertise in developing and executing complex sales strategies, leveraging technical expertise and sales acumen to drive significant sales growth and customer satisfaction. • Industry Thought Leadership: Experience in maintaining a strong understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovative sales solutions and growth. • Technical Solution Development: Experience with designing and implementing comprehensive technical solutions that meet customer needs, leveraging in-depth knowledge of specialty offerings and technical expertise.
