Your role and responsibilities
Responsible for HR Engagement and Transition activities associated with Outsourcing contracts and/or Acquisitions and Divestitures agreements in Japan
The employee in this role would be guided by Global or Region level HR Engagement & Transition manager to achieve functional objectives. Regularly participates in overall functional program planning. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact project costs or expenses.
This is a client facing role and is a core member of the deal team. Must understand client's business, HR objectives for the transaction, proposed deal structure, and IBM's objectives
Job Role including Develop Effective HR Terms & Solutions for Business Success:
Works closely with and provides ad hoc deliverables to the HR Business Development Consultants and Deal Leads
Develop appropriate HR solutions, provide input to the business and cost case, participate in due diligence, manage HR issues and risks, lead the negotiation of HR-related terms & conditions, develops and implements a comprehensive and detailed transition plan to transfer employees from their current employer to the target organization seamlessly, with the least business disruption, and a positive experience to the employees, while identifying any barriers to achieving the proposed transition objectives and ways to overcome them.
Develops and maintains operational dashboards to support business unit decision making.

Required technical and professional expertise
· Ability to create solutions that align to IBM’s strategy.
· Has deep understanding of IBM’s different business models and sources of revenue & profit growth.
· Understands complex financial concepts and how they impact deals.
· Brings the market perspective to subjects like compensation strategy, stock-based comp and incentives.
· Understanding of labor laws , regulations, and legal requirements and how they impact deals.
· Adept at managing employee relations issues with guidance from local LR / HR Legal.
· Applies new and emerging tools and technologies to drive innovative solutions.
· Project planning
· Drives initiatives to automate key processes, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
· Proficient in utilizing advanced digital tools and AI technologies.
· Uses data to formulate original insights and takes action based on a deeper understanding of the business and the workforce
· Effectively resolves issues related to integration.
· Will need to be self motivated. Will need to have a thorough working knowledge of excel with an ability to analyse data. Ability to travel on client's request. Willing to work in global time zone from time to time.
· Native in Japanese and fluent in English.
