Assist skilled trades and installation crews as directed Follow all site-specific safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively Work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members Commodity-Specific Responsibilities - Piles Read and interpret pile layout drawings and color codes Support pile staging activities in coordination with light equipment operators Assist with pile installation operations alongside light equipment operators Commodity-Specific Responsibilities - Trackers Read and interpret basic mechanical assembly drawings and installation plans Identify tracker system components and understand their placement within the assembly Install tracker components according to drawing specifications and manufacturer requirements Assist with alignment, fastening, and securing of tracker structures Demonstrate an understanding of the basic function and purpose of tracker components Verify correct installation of parts prior to inspection or further assembly Report damaged, missing, or incorrect components to supervision Commodity-Specific Responsibilities - Panels Read and understand panel layout drawings Lift and position panel materials overhead throughout the shift Install solar panels in accordance with layout drawings and specifications Verify fastener torque using calibrated torque wrenches Inspect panels and mounting hardware for proper installation and damage Commodity-Specific Responsibilities - Electrical Assist with cable management activities to ensure proper routing and organization Support cable pulling operations in accordance with project requirements Assist with earthwork activities related to electrical installation, as directed
Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required Previous construction or solar experience preferred, but not required Ability to read basic construction or mechanical drawings or willingness to learn Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs, including overhead lifting
Work Environment and Physical Requirements Outdoor construction environment Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting for extended periods Repetitive overhead lifting and use of hand tools Exposure to heat, cold, wind, dust, and uneven terrain
