Titusville Housing Authority Janitorial Maintenance Worker in Titusville, Pennsylvania
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing of floors, hallways, stairwells and other building areas Vacuuming of rugs and carpets Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and replenishing supplies Cleaning, polishing and dusting furniture and fixtures Washing windows, walls, mirrors and other areas Collecting and disposing of waste products Shoveling snow, salting walks and steps as needed Mowing and trimming of grass as needed Cleaning and painting vacant apartments
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Preferred knowledge of cleaning, including safety practices and procedures Ability to read and understand material safety data information on chemicals and materials used to clean and maintain facilities Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner and a floor scrubber Ability to operate push and riding lawn mowers and string trimmers Ability to paint neatly
Physical Work Demands:
Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, or stoop to inspect work, handle resources and materials Ability to ascend or descend ladders and stairs Ability to work from a ladder and reach above and below shoulder level Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift items weighing up to 20 pounds, such as buckets of water, trash, etc.
