What you'll be doing
Lead and support the transition from Cisco telephony to Microsoft Teams across commercial sites.
Analyze the existing Cisco telephony landscape (licenses, configurations, devices, dependencies) and identify optimization and consolidation opportunities.
Plan and execute the phased decommissioning of Cisco licenses in commercial environments.
Coordinate and manage the removal of physical Cisco phones, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Clean up and streamline Cisco configurations to prepare sites for a smooth migration to Microsoft Teams.
Assess and document hybrid dependencies between commercial (Teams-target) and manufacturing/laboratory (Cisco-dependent) environments.
Ensure business continuity in the current hybrid setup where Cisco remains critical for production environments.
Collaborate with Microsoft Teams engineers and other stakeholders to align technical prerequisites and migration steps.
Provide technical guidance, risk assessments, and clear transition roadmaps for stakeholders.
Deliver structured documentation of the current state, target state, and transition activities.
What you'll bring along
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in related fields, preferably Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics areas.
Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco telephony environments (e.g., CUCM, Unity Connection, Cisco voice infrastructure).
Proven experience in telephony migration projects, ideally from Cisco to Microsoft Teams.
Solid understanding of hybrid communication environments and coexistence strategies.
Experience in license optimization, infrastructure cleanup, and system consolidation.
Good understanding of Microsoft Teams voice architecture (Direct Routing, Operator Connect, etc.) is a strong advantage.
Ability to analyze complex telephony landscapes and translate findings into actionable migration plans.
Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Structured, independent working style with the ability to operate effectively in a fully remote setup.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
