Your role and responsibilities
As an Application Developer specializing in Open Source, you will develop, support, and maintain applications using open source development platforms. You will utilize your expertise in open source technologies to analyze and resolve issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions.
Required technical and professional expertise
Experienced Developer with at least 5 years of experience in Java
Good knowledge in design, development and implementation of Java code (11+)
Good understanding of the Spring framework or similar (Quarkus)
Experience with Spring Boot
Good understanding of REST services
Good understanding of relational databases
Good understanding of ORM (Hibernate)
Good understanding of automated testing patterns(unit, integration)
Basic understanding of Docker and creating images
Basic understanding of Kubernetes: application deployment, monitoring and debugging
Good understanding of cloud-specific development (either with AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud)
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Preferred technical and professional experience
Good knowledge in front-end development patterns and the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular
Knowledge of Finance/Asset Management would be a bonus
Good communicator in English (French would be a bonus)
